Yes Sir & Yes Ma'am

The lovely people at Cleis Press recently sent us a couple of copies of their deliciously naughty books to review for our blog. Excitedly one morning Fanny opened a package containing Yes Sir and Yes Ma'm for our consumption. Being avid naughty book readers, and even running London's only Erotic Book Club, we couldn't wait to get stuck into their saucy pages. With fantasies of both male and female submission at the firm hands of latex and leather clad members of the opposite sex, it seemed right up our street. Now it's just going to be a case of fighting over which ideas we get to play out first...
What a wonderful homework assignment we had here. With fantasies of both crawling up to Fanny's leather boots, and also making her shine mine, this was going to be interesting. Both books present a series of stories from both male and female writers ranging from scenes where female submissives masturbate according to email instructions from their masters, through to tales of an OCD tea making man discussing with his Mistress their impending threesome and the delights that await. The stories were short enough to keep your attention and very well written, rising far above generic 'porn' writing. My personal favourites included the above mentioned "Tea For Three" , "Wedding Night" and "Rope Burn" from Yes Ma'm, plus "Lunch" from Yes Sir amongst many others. My favourite part of reading these was on the train to Paris with Fanny, reading them together and teasing each other over which parts we liked whilst people dozed around us. These books definitely start in your head and work their way down, with scenes still replaying in my head when I close my eyes. Oh my Fanny, this could be a rather naughty month ahead of us whilst we work out who's on top. 5 firm full handed slaps on the bottom out of 5.

The Erotic Potential Of My Wife
The story of an OCD collector, who's gradually been shunned from society due to his habits of obsessing over collections of cocktail sticks, campaign badges, labels on melons etc. Hector, our protagonist, is driven to attempted suicide over his out of control hobby to collect things. On the brink of recovery he meets Brigitte, the love of his life and attempts to put all of his past behind him and settle down to a regular life. However watching her wash the windows in their flat one day, causes Hector to have the most erotic moment of his life, soon he's doing everything he can to turn the windows dirty again and re-live the sight of his wife's beautiful legs on the ladder as she washes them. One thing leads to another and before we know it, Hector is caught up in his need to collect moments of her teetering on ladders, as we read about how this affects the couple and their surrounding odd collection of friends and relatives.Thursday, 11 February 2010
EROTIC BOOK CLUB:
This month - Girls!

This month we will be reading Girls by Nic Kelman
"This sure-to-be-controversial first novel is told entirely in the second person by a series of nameless, interchangeable high-level businessmen. All of them share a predilection for young girls, which they describe in pornographic detail. A banker on a business trip to Korea follows the advice of his older boss and orders a hooker from room service. He is shocked by the fact that she is barely out of adolescence, but that seems to fuel his passion, and although he knows he should feel guilty, instead he feels fantastic. A CEO who is vacationing with family friends starts having sex with their teenage daughter; his obsession leads to his own divorce and a lawsuit from his former friends.. Disturbing erotica that is sure to draw requests." Joanne Wilkinson
Join us on the 25th February to discuss it...
